Stephanie K. Goldin grew up in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C. She attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in economics. Stephanie worked in the mortgage insurance business for two years after graduating from William & Mary before matriculating at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she graduated cum laude in 2006. While at the University of Pittsburgh, she served on the Journal of Law & Commerce.

Stephanie began her career with Carlson Lynch as a law clerk after her second year of law school and continued to work at the firm during her third year of law school. She became a full time attorney with the firm in October 2006. Stephanie has worked in all aspects of the Carlson Lynch complex litigation practice, and currently devotes most of her time to the firm’s consumer litigation practice.

In Stephanie’s words: “I love my job. It is difficult to describe just how exhilarating it is, and frankly how much fun it is, to represent the ‘little guy’ in high stakes litigation against large institutions that are frequently represented by the best defense firms in the country. Contrary to the anti-plaintiff’s lawyer rhetoric that is often encountered in the popular media, what we do is non-partisan. The consumer protection laws that we enforce were typically passed on a bi-partisan basis, often by a unanimous Congress. We have no stake in the wisdom of Congressional policies; all we do is apply the rules that Congress prescribes. What we do have a stake in is the provision of high quality legal services to underserved populations, and I take that role very seriously.”
