Katrina Carroll Waist Up

Katrina Carroll is the founding partner of Carlson Lynch’s Chicago office and serves as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Executive Management Committee. She graduated from Northwestern University, with honors in political science, and in 2000, received her law degree from Seton Hall University. Katrina has been recognized as one of the top 25 class action lawyers in the State of Illinois by the National Trial Lawyers Association. She has also been named multiple times as a SuperLawyer, an honor based on extensive peer review.

Katrina is committed to pursuing justice for everyday people. Her class action experience is far ranging, and includes consumer fraud, privacy and defective product cases. Over the course of her career, she has recovered more than $1 billion litigating some of the biggest and most challenging class actions of all time. One of her current cases, and one particularly close to her heart, is Steward v. Honeywell, where Katrina represents property owners in a small town contaminated by nuclear radiation.

In Katrina’s words: “I was raised with traditional immigrant values emphasizing hard work, high standards, and maximizing opportunities. These principles guide me daily as I pursue lawsuits against enormous companies on behalf of people they’ve wronged. Every case is a proverbial David and Goliath situation, and I relish the fight.”

Katrina has been praised as a “model” lawyer by the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve, currently a sitting justice of the Seventh Circuit. She is well-regarded by her peers, regularly mentors younger lawyers and advocates for diversity in the profession. As a recognized authority on class action law, Katrina has spoken nationally at such prestigious conferences as the American Bar Association Annual National Institute on Class Actions, the American Bar Association Section of Litigation Annual Conference, the American Association for Justice Annual Convention, Practicing Law Institute’s Consumer Financial Services Institute and Mass Torts Made Perfect. Katrina currently serves on the Advisory Board of Loyola University School of Law’s Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies.

When she is not litigating for the little guy, Katrina enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, and their two children, and performing mediocre karaoke impersonations of Cher and Lady Gaga.
