Nick Lange Waist Up

Nicholas, a Chicago native, studied English and Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. During his last six months of undergrad, he lived abroad in East Africa, broadening his horizons while completing coursework in international law. His work there culminated in a presentation to the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Kigali, Rwanda, which turned out to be his segue into law. Nicholas returned home to graduate from the DePaul University College of Law, with honors.

Initially after law school, Nicholas jumped into all manners of civil litigation, including fraud, tort, breach of contract, fiduciary duties, and corporate matters, and including fights between common interest associations, developers, insurers, and municipalities. Since then, Nicholas has focused his civil practice on complex class actions. He has been, and continues to be involved in, some of the most complex class actions pending in the country, involving everything from nuclear contamination to facial recognition technology. What draws Nicholas to class litigation is the potential to single-handedly compel a behemoth company— which would otherwise continue to act above the law— to change its conduct and compensate those it has wronged.

When not combating corporate malfeasance, Nicholas can be found obsessively making “fancy food with tweezers,” as his friends say, practicing photography, sitting by a fire, or playing piano.
