Wawa Reveals Massive Data Breach
Your personal information may have been exposed and you may be entitled to monetary compensation.
Wawa confirmed malicious software was found on their payment processing servers that potentially affected all of its stores. If you shopped in-store or pumped gas at Wawa you might be one of the victims of this data breach.
According to Wawa CEO Chris Gheysens, the malware started running on the in-store payment processing systems at different points in time after March 4, 2019. Wawa’s Security team found the malware on December 10, 2019 and contained it two days later.
Personal information compromised could include: credit card and debit card numbers, cardholders’ names and expiration dates.
