Wayfair, the American e-commerce company that sells home goods, has a bed bug problem.
Since 2016, Wayfair consciously continues selling bed bug-infested furniture to consumers.
Despite the many written and verbal complaints to Wayfair, the company has refused to inform consumers of their parasitic problem.
A bed bug bite affects each person differently. Bite responses can range from an absence of any physical signs of the bite, to a small bite mark, to a serious allergic reaction. Bed bugs typically hide in mattresses, headboards or other stuffed furniture. They can travel over 100 feet in a night but tend to live within 8 feet of where people sleep. Bed bugs can survive several months without a blood meal and are extremely difficult to exterminate.
Wayfair’s failure to alert consumers of the bed bug infestation has put thousands of people at risk of bites and possible allergic reactions and has forced unsuspecting customers to spend dozens of hours and hundreds of dollars treating their bed bug invasions.
